Is RockinBBar still around these parts ?

To say hello and stoke the fire a bit. Mind if I have a cup o' that coffee ?  It's been awhile.  Hope all has been well. I see David has been under the weather. Hope all goes good for you. I have had three of those low back surgeries. And last March had brain surgery. I have chiari 1 with syringomyelia. It's been a rough journey. I will be visiting a Chiari specialist in Wisconsin to have further testing. I am getting around fairly well. I decided to let the turkeys have a break this year LOL !! My little shot gun can give ya quiet the kick. Hope to be around from time to time ya'll take care and thanks for the coffee  :D

I posted about a condition I had, called a syrinx in my spinal cord. It was caused by Arnold Chairi Malformation a rare condition thats not well known. I had to have a decompression surgery that is suppose to help stop the progression of the syrinx and possibly it will collapse on it's own. If not,  a shunt will have to be placed in my spinal cord to drain the fulid off. The surgery was and has been a very rough one. Monday will be 4 weeks post op and I can only sit at the computer for few minutes at a time but am happy to say I have improved.  I will miss turkey season this year but maybe can call one up for someone else to shoot. Can't shoot a gun yet. Your prayers would be appreciated. Hope everyone is doing well ......

I have been diagnosed with a syrinx in my spine. I haven't seen the NS yet. I'll go in few days. I have researched this on internet and have found out some things about it but was wondering if anyone might have first hand experience with it or might know someone who has. A little prayer sent my way would not hurt a thing,  thanks.

Tomorrow is the opener of our bow season !  Yes i am ready. Been slingin' arrows and  Getting good groups now. If one will stand broadside and be still I think I have a good chance LOL !  

I got around early this morning and stoked the fire up and the coffees hot over on the rock.  Burrrrr ,  Kinda chilly around here this morning. 47* makes me wanna sit in the woods ! Come on October 1st ! I can hardley wait.  :smiley:

On one of our fishing trips this year. She was then three years old. Turned four this July.

We are having some of the strangest weather for July that i can remember. Today was 68* and raining most of the day. Giving me an extreme case of hunting fever. I decided to go out and take my camera. I sat down and this big boy showed up. I have never taken my digital like that and so I was shaking all over just like when I hunt with a gun. He gave me lots of pictures but by the time I snapped them he had moved. He looked right at me and saw me and took off as I was snapping the picture. Not a good picture but I have it as my desktop background and can see part of his velvet antlers. This was as close as I've been to a velvet buck. It's usually near 100 degrees this time of year and I am not normally in the woods. I had a good time :grin: He was a nine point not too wide but pretty tall. I'm pretty sure he was missing one eye guard making him a nine. But I might have just missed it and he would be a ten !
