That thought crossed my mind.

I don't THINK Remington would relinquish the names on that list without a fight. I certainly HOPE they wouldn't.

However, it must be remembered, that there is ALREADY a "list" of every one of those rifles, (AND EVERY OTHER FIREARM), purchased through an FFL. The Feds don't keep the records, but the Fed require UNDER PENALTY OF LAW, that the FFLs KEEP the records for the ENTIRE duration of their license, AND that they relinquish their "Bound Book" (official record of ALL sales), to the BATFE upon non-renewal of their license. Of course the socialist sons of bachelors can use this set-up to CLAIM that the US doesn't have "gun registration". BULLONEY!
