I love these old Aussies. 1950's FTR's  are also extremely rare. This one has all matching parts and a very rare Slazenger rear HG. Bet you didn't know that a golf and tennis company made military stocks! It also has the most perfect shield I have ever seen on one of these. Regards, Rick.

Ahhh Rick .......................... hate to tell you but slazenger also made grips for the bayonets ............................. which reminds me I will need to find a new home for the  US pattern 17 bayonet by Remington. It's one of the odd marked "18" bayonets no scabbard sadly. it came on a P-14 range rifle I bought many years back. The P-14 is long gone and have recently got the bayonet back after the raid.
Go Get them Floyd!

Seems as if Slazenger made lots of stuff.:D

That they did Rick. I sold it some years back but I had a brand new unissued Australian bayonet for the SMLE which had clearly marled SLAZ grips.
