Title: Clean up hunt
Post by: sakorick on February 18, 2019, 01:46:48 PM
The property does a European tower hunt on Saturday’s and then there is a Sunday clean up hunt to go after birds that weren’t shot. Evan got the first 2 birds of the day which were Chukars. We had a great day with 18 Pheasants and 7 Chukar bagged. Some 400 birds were launched from the "tower" on Saturday and 240 were bagged leaving 160 somewhere. Eric and Evan, their friends, Andy and Brady and John and I. Brady shot on Evans trap team last fall. For 12 year olds both the boys were very safety conscious and we had a wonderful hunt. The hunt cast $50 per man and included a smoked rib lunch and bird cleaning. You can shoot hens and roosters on game farms in Kansas. My Lab Bela and Johns Lab Baily worked together with Dot the pointer, like an oiled machine. Wished we had taken more pictures!
