Hello,

When I set up my account I selected to have emails sent to me when a subscribed thread or PM was sent to me.  I have since gone into my account prefrences under user C/P and removed the option for email notification by selecting Do not send in the drop down box and yet I still receive notifications.  Any suggestions on how I can resolve this?  I don't want to remove my email address from the acct information because I want to have it avail for other members to contact me.

I recently picked up a compound bow and have been practicing a lot as you do with any new toy :)
My problem is when I release the arrow the string will tend to roll off my finger tip and occasionally (1/25 launches) the string appears to "unwind" and the arrow will choose a wild trajectory.  This has cost me almost $30 in replacement arrows.
I've considered getting a release but there's a couple different types.  One that attaches directly to the string and another that attaches to a loop tied to the string.  Other than the puritans that think shooting with any type of gadget is unnecessary are there any suggestions or advice on technique or what type of release to look into.  I don't have a lot of $ to buy top of the line.  The bow was a pawn shop special just enough to get into the scene.

Recently picked up a bow and am practicing for the upcoming archery season.  Skunked out of two rifle seasons here so trying something different.  Hope to learn a lot from those on this site.  Looking to talk to others with similar interests.
