This is another one of those interesting instances when an experimenter comes up with something 'relatively' new.  I'm not sure of it's uses but it obviously would work through one of the old large lever actions (if someone cared to make the modifications).  It also would simplify one or two of the problems in Remington Rolling Blocks.
