I'm already super happy with what I already have, but my next dream rifle would be the:
Sako trg-42, .338 Lapua in stealth with phosphatized barrel and action
with the
IOR Tactical 6-24x50 with illum MP8 reticle
or the new
IOR Tactical 4-28x56 with illum MP8 reticle

I'm not going to get technical, but agree with "  Ausmarksman". The MP8 reticle is a real asset, plus slowly working your way up as others have said, not jumping straight out to 1,000. Gotta get to know yourself and gear.

Hi all
Just joined and am anxious to get to know this new site. I'm from Northern Quebec on the eastern Hudson Bay coast 58.5th parallel "Inukjuak" Have been here since 1990. In the summer it's light out till midnight and dark in the winter at 3:00 pm. No trees only tundra. We hunt here for caribou, fox, hair, ptarmigan, seal, whale, polar bear, duck, geese, etc... and lots of fishing for cod, arctic char, samon, white fish, speckled trout, lake trout...

Love long range precision shooting, Extreme off-road Jeeping, atving, snowmobiling, canoeing, mountain biking, photography, expeditions, dog teaming, well anything I can do.
