The one on the left looks like a tool for putting a bend in things. The one on the right is very obvious as it cannot have a purpose.

"The press will be next" is the clue, but it's a pretty slim one nonetheless.

I assume "It's all his fault" refers to me. Combine the clue and the assumption, and you come up with something for a bow. Honestly, I don't know what it is either. I THINK it is a jig to be used to precisely set the limbs, but that is a wild stab in the dark.

Since the 'thing' on the left looks like it attached to a limb, it could be some sort of alignment tool.

Just a clamp to hold the bow so that I can 'work' on it and yep all your fault!

I get it. The part on the right is clamped in a vise, and the part on the left holds the bow by one of its limbs.

Could not find a picatinny mount for the bow (what looked any use) so it continues...

Chuck it on the bow to check tonight then will finesse it and send it off for a black anodise.

Very expensive thing. As my boy and I found out. Some friendly advice. Don't shoot at the same spot with all your arrows once you are tuned.

Lance dropped in this morning to fabricate the BPS/E Mk1.
Weight on the floor is 54 lbs. (6x6 ish mild steel)

This should help target the correct muscles that I'm having a problem with.
(I dislocated both shoulders in the past)

Make a handle and a lick of paint then take it home...I guess doggo will wonder what I'm playing at!

Quiver arrived as well as a bunch of carbon arrows, they took forever to get here!
Only thing I'm waiting on now is a 'VaporTrail' string and cable set - they had a sensible, I guess' shipping price - $10.

I made a target boss out of a cardboard box filled with paper, magazines etc - it catches the arrows.
Ill make a larger version from the boxes we have lying around at work!

When the new string and cable arrives I will be able to start my practising in earnest.

Shoulder appears to be improving too!

Cardboard scores up the arrows shafts. Archery rounds are not difficult to source nor expensive if you ask about. I got a used one from the local club for a fiver the other year.

Wads of used shrink wrap stuffed tightly into a bag or box makes a great arrow stop too.
If you know anyone in a shipping/receiving dept., they make a great source for the stuff, and it's free that way.
