Hi David. Am doing fair to midlin' LOL !  How about yourself ?

I have become a chiarian zipperhead since I been gone. It is a rare neurological disease called arnold chiari 1.  I also have syringomyelia along with it and several other spinal problems. I have had the decompression surgery that collapse the syrinx(syringomyelia). Real tough one to get through but I made it along with the Good Lords help of course. It's been about a year and a half since surgery. Still have problems and probably always will according to the Docs and research I have done.  Sometimes one just has to make the best of what they are given. Lord knows there are allot of folks worse off than me with the same problem. So most of the time I just count my blessings :)
I didn't see any postings of Rockin's and was just wondering. His cougar hunting and horses often times was great entertainment for me.
My hubby sat me up a ground blind in our back field with a feeder. I was able to take a small doe with my bow last year. I also lucked out and caught a really nice 8 point slipping through one morning before I got off my porch and took him ;). I opted out of the spring turkey. We didn't feel the ol' 12 gauge would be a good idea.
Hope evryone has been doing good !

I had one of those removed from my nose a few years back. It was cut and burned. It was malignant. I just recently was checked and had two places biopsied and they, Thank the Lord, were not malignant yet , but a step farther along than normal. They called them dysplastic. Thanks for the very good post. I wish you well.

THE CAMPFIRE / Re: Happy Birthday Antler 3
March 31, 2010, 06:18:08 PM
Thank you all so much !  I had a great birthday ! All my youngins' were here with birthday cake and icecream !  I even got one of those memory foam pillows to sleep on. I'll have to say after surgery it does help to sleep. Iam doing much better. I went for my follow up MRI and Doc visit and the syrinx has shrunk over half what it was Thank God !  The Doc's and staff did not understand how I was still walking and breathing. The first MRI showed that I should have already been in a wheelchair and on a resperator. They told me I was a walking miracle. I know that great healer from above was on my side and looking after me the whole time. I did not realize the severity of the situation until it was over. Guess that's their way of protecting my thoughts before surgery. But as of now things are looking good and I will start physical therapy in a few days. I go back in a month for another MRI and will probably have to have another surgery to remove a bone spur that is pinching a nerve causing pain in my left arm. I told them to just fix me so I can hunt again   .
Thanks for the Birthday wishes ! Good luck to all in the turkey woods this spring.

THE CAMPFIRE / Just dropping in to say hi ...
March 25, 2010, 09:43:01 AM
I posted about a condition I had, called a syrinx in my spinal cord. It was caused by Arnold Chairi Malformation a rare condition thats not well known. I had to have a decompression surgery that is suppose to help stop the progression of the syrinx and possibly it will collapse on it's own. If not,  a shunt will have to be placed in my spinal cord to drain the fulid off. The surgery was and has been a very rough one. Monday will be 4 weeks post op and I can only sit at the computer for few minutes at a time but am happy to say I have improved.  I will miss turkey season this year but maybe can call one up for someone else to shoot. Can't shoot a gun yet. Your prayers would be appreciated. Hope everyone is doing well ......

THE CAMPFIRE / Re: Question for you all ?
February 03, 2010, 08:29:56 AM
Thank each of you for your comments and prayers. I am to see a NS this Friday. Seems like the waiting is always the hardest part. From my research it seems to be a rather rare and serious problem. One can't help but to be concerned but am just trying to push it back until I get some answers from the Doc. Who knows, when i see him he may not think much of it. I'll let ya know how things go in a day or two. Thanks for the prayers.

THE CAMPFIRE / Question for you all ?
February 02, 2010, 06:11:57 AM
I have been diagnosed with a syrinx in my spine. I haven't seen the NS yet. I'll go in few days. I have researched this on internet and have found out some things about it but was wondering if anyone might have first hand experience with it or might know someone who has. A little prayer sent my way would not hurt a thing,  thanks.

Nice pictures ! I like the camo ! Good concealment !  Do you ever see Black coyotes ?  I saw my first black one yesterday morning. By the time I figured out it was a coyote instead of a dog he was in too thick brush for a shot. Thanks for sharing your pictures enjoyed !
