I just read this in an open source magazine that was on my desk.  
 
Army National Guard
 
291,000 have been deployed for overseas operations to include Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo, several sites in Africa, GITMO, and providing security in Germany while troops are deployed from there.
 
1800 supporting DEA
 
2300 along the Mexican border providing assistance to Customs and Border Patrol
 
1100 on duty in variuos states performing primarily disaster relief and some security
