Ok , what are dabbies?
The hero in a novel went to get some jump buck chops [I think that is sheep] and "Dabbies" for the grill, please enlighten me!
Do Ozies really eat real mutton, as in 2 year old stuff, or is that  perversion limited to Kiwis?

Drinksgin, i see no one has replied to your question?, i have never heard of "Dabbies", the only thing i can think of is "Yabbies", which are a freshwater crayfish, and a very popular bush food.

Catching Yabbies is a very popular pastime while camping etc, though you need quite a few for a decent feed.

Thanks, there may be a chance the author was not a real OZ, just trying to pass.
