THE NEED FOR SPEED / Re: Gas Prices ?!?!!
June 24, 2006, 03:36:21 AM
On a good highway run I can get 1200 kilometres out of a full tank which is good.Around town around 950kilometres,less in summer with the AC running. It used to cost $160 dollars to fill it,then near christmas it was closer to $180 now over $200.Your four runner would cost around $60 to $80 to fill here depending on being diesel or petrol.Petrol is up to $1.40 a litre.Which is ********.Diesel used to be 20cents cheaper, now its more than petrol.LP gas is now at 50 to 60 cents a litre too.

Your story brought a tear to my eye mate. You are more patient than me.Retribution would have been swift from me,maybe the wrong thing to do.

I have a nissan patrol.Its got a 4.2 litre diesel.The tank is a big one at 160 litre
Our fuel pices are at $1.50 a litre for diesel. Before christmas it was closer to $1.28 a litre. Now i dont know the conversions from our dollars and yours,or how the litre stacks up against your gallons. But It ****** me right of when it costs over $200 to fill my truck.

No worries buddy.Translations away. The yabbie is what i think you fellas call a crawdad or shrimp, bardie grubs are a grub that live in certain trees or sometimes in the ground.Powerbait is made in the US i think, its a jar of man made bait.

this is a esky with some yabbies in it

here is some of the bardies and powerbait

The dam I fish mostly is lake eucumbene,It is a major part of the snowy hydro system. When full it will hold 9 times the water that sydney harbour will, and its 244 miles around it.The fish in there are rainbow and brown trout. The browns havent been stocked for a long time and breed naturally in the many streams and rivers that flow from the lake. This makes them a bit harder to catch being wild fish. The rainbows are stocked every year, somewhere in the number of 300.000 fingerlings. We pay for fishing licenses and its great to see something going back into the system. The last couple months have been a frenzy of people bagging out.Fishing in the dams is all year round, but the rivers will close soon for 4 months.
