Thanks for your feedback guys, plenty of food for thought.

She wants a milder kicking calibre, doesn't like my 30-06 or anything with similar recoil.

The 6.5 may have to be the choice, I will keep looking for novice rig for her, loved to find a Howa in the 6.5x55 but they are far and few these days. I did see some Howas in 6.5 Creedmore which were been cleared but the ammo is not cheap here in Oz for that calibre. Would have to relaod.
