This past fall i had a larde group of birds picking around my place and I found that these tow old tom's were coming in after the lager group exted my field. I set out to take one of the two,if not both but i found out that these old bird had been hard hunted and were doubly wary and very suspicious og everything, but I did get one shot after trying for over a week.
I have been seeing the other lone tom picking around noon time for a number of weeks now, it looks like a spring challenge...........Ron
OBTW that bird was just a little tough to eat..

the spurs were about an inch,beard was 11 inches..Ron

man I pushed at over 50 yards, if i had not been sitting up in the old walnut tree, i never would have took one of them.....
