A sink full!

Ann-Marie and SIL Wylie came up to the farm for Memorial Day. Yesterday they caught this sinkfull of mostly Crappie......what a haul!

They taste even better than they look.
I have caught some 16" in the little lake and have seen 19-20" taken here.
My personal record is from Moss Creek lake  near Big Spring Tx. it was 3.5 lb .

A 2 pounder, 15 inch is all you need for a Missouri Master Angler Award. Missouri also holds the IFGA world champ at 5.02 pounds,19 inches caught in a private pond. They kept the fish alive and it was swimming in the Bass pro shop tank in Springfield for a number of years.

Most folks around here prefer the Crappie over any other fresh water fish for table fare.
