Bison and Singleshot Rifles

For all you hunters that travel the road of cast bullets, blackpowder, musket caps and iron sights... here are two fellers from Arkansas (Ben & Mitch) who took the game like it needs to be done.

The pics came from Sandhill Outfitters over in Nebraska and it looks like they are making their clients happy.

The rifles are Sharps and the cartridge used in each rifle was the old .45-70 Government.  I figure it makes a difference when you are using a rifle/cartridge combo that you can really look back on in later years.

Yup.

I had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife on several occasions, and they came up to Alaska to visit. THL lost a significant asset when he died.
