There are a couple of other polls recently started. Check those.

Be nicer than necessary.

This year it will be with a .260 Remington single shot Thompson/Encore rifle.

I have used a 30-06, 35 Whelen an 8x57 Mauser and a .243 Winchester all in bolt action rifles.

A hunting buddy of mine has killed more deer with his .308 Win in a short barreled carbine than I can count.  Last year he took a nice doe with a pre-64 Model 70 Winchester in 30-06.  Sweet gun but way too nice to risk messing up in a tree stand.

I guess the variations on weapons markings are as numerous as the types of guns themselves.
My Interarms MK X      Calibre .458 Win

Win. Model 70         .338 win mag

      Ruger 77/22           22 LR cal

     M1 Garand              Cal  30M1

      Win 1873                .32 W.C.F.
The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
