Took my first deer home that was shot with a 30-40 Krag about 1965 or so. Loaned by my cousin Keith Meadow. Nice rifle, I always coveted it. So did his son Scott.

I am grateful we were able to sit across a table a couple of times.
Once for coffee in Hondo and again for BBQ in Llano.
Managed to visit after his stroke once.  Embarrassed to say but I just could not return.

We bought a house in Oakland Ne. about 30 miles from granddaughter Emma. So we get to have her over often and go to her house at least 5 days out of 14.
Looking to get a side business up in the shooting/hunting/ supplies for black powder. Also maybe sale some survivalist stuff and how too. My old source for military how to manuals has dried up if anyone knows where you can pick up the print copies these days, internet is everywhere but in true survival mode there will not be a lot of on lining getting done.

Been absent for awhile. So wanted to let folks know I am still kicking. Moved from Texas to Nebraska, just north of Omaha. Winter has been interesting so far. Granddaughter is the reason for moving. Anybody close by? Would like some inside on how to get into hunting around here, fishing is covered pretty well.
