THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / Triumphant Living
January 02, 2009, 04:43:28 PM
A SECRET OF TRIUMPHANT LIVING THAT WILL WORK FOR YOU
God disappeared from sight in Jesus' body that He might appear again, in power, in the bodies of all true believers.
From the dawn of redemption God's purpose was to come live inside you. He first created man in His own image. He made him capable of love and fellowship with Himself. He placed him in a paradise, the Garden of Eden. And God occupied His time walking with man in that garden. But then the wicked mistrust and rebellion of man, called sin, severed the relationship. A holy God could not compromise His fellowship with unholy man. Man and God were separated.
But God does not give up. Jesus went to the cross and died for sin. Through His atonement, unholy man can be made clean. The fellowship that was broken in Eden is restored at Calvary. God and man are reunited. Christ comes to live in our hearts. This is the mystery of the entire universe. And this is the purpose of man, to know God and to be united with God.

Jesus Christ came to earth to bring man a wonderful new dimension of living. He said, I am come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

This new abundant dimension comes through having Jesus Christ live inside you. Jesus said in John 14:15, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter ... whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you ... At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you ... . If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him" (John 14:16, 18, 20, 23).

Jesus said He would not leave us, He would come to us, and He would be in us. This is the amazing mystery of the life of Jesus Christ. It did not end at a grave and it was not contained within one body. By His spirit He has come to live in all that will receive Him.

Before the day of Pentecost one body had contained Jesus Christ. After the day of Pentecost all bodies can contain Jesus Christ. God disappeared from sight in Jesus' body that He might appear again throughout the world in the bodies of thousands of true believers.

In the last book of the Bible, Jesus Christ wrote letters to the seven churches in Asia. When He wrote the last letter to the last church, He closed it with a promise of living inside our bodies. Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelations 3:20). Jesus wanted to make it so clear no one could possibly miss it. He said we are like a house: someone knocks; you open the door. They come in. And that's the way it is with life. Jesus knocks on the door of our heart. We open. And God comes in to live within us.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / Tho't Verse Message
December 12, 2008, 11:39:19 AM
It matters not who or what you are, all men can behold the Christmas Star.  For the Star that shone is shining still in the hearts of men of peace and goodwill.

Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy Spirit from me.  Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit.  Psalm 51:11, 12 kjv.

For all to see there was a star Shining in the east, beyond them far; And to the earth it gave great light, And so it continued both day and night. And by the light of that same star Three wise men came from country far; To seek for a King was their intent, And to follow the star wherever it went.  This star drew nigh to the northwest: O're Bethlehem it took its rest; And there it did both stop and stay, Right over the place where Jesus lay.
The Star shines for one and all!"

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / Jesus is the Reason
December 07, 2008, 10:59:08 AM
Jesus is Better than Santa

Santa lives at the North Pole.

JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh

JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year

JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies

JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited

JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.

You have to stand in line to see Santa

JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap

JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"

JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly

JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.
May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas 2008
And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year.
God bless you all

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / To See Jesus
October 29, 2008, 03:27:31 PM
"And they shall see his face, and his name shall be in their foreheads
And there shall be no night there.,and they need no candle, neither light of the sun,for the LORD GOD giveth themlight, and they shall reign forever and ever" Revelation 22:4-5 kjv..
A preacher once remarked to Fanny Crosby, "I thnkit is a great pity that the Master did not give you sight when He showeed so so any other gifts upon you." she replied quickly,"Do you know that if i had been able to make onepetio at birth, it would hav ben that ishould be born blind." Why, asked the preacher? " When i get to heaven the first face that wii gladden my sight will be that of my Saviour,"
After reading this i thought what an awesome sight that wiil be to stand before the Creator and see him the first time..but you know we have to be born again to gain that privilege..that's why Jesus went to the cross and suffered and died or our sins. how about you? are you ready to meet him face to face? i pray that you are..if not get ready today..you must believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, died on the cross, was buried and arose on the third day and ascended up into heaven where he sits with the Father waiting to come to gather up his children.. right now, where ever you are at, at home, in a bar it doesn't matter Jesus is there..repent of your sins and ask God to forgive you and to come into your life and change you..my friend that will be the happiest moment in your life

the answers are yes-yes-no-yes-yes-no... You can't aford to be wrong..find out the truth-ask God to forgive your sins and then put your trust in Jesus The Christ..The wages of sin is death but Jesus took our punishment by dying on the cross for us..then He arose from the dead and ascended up into Heaven, but PRAISE GOD He'ss coming sgain to get his bride,,Are you ready?

I venture to say that the greatest earthly blessing that God can give to any of us is health, with the exception of sickness.  Sickness has frequently been of more use to the saints of God than health has.
C. H. Spurgeon

I'm glad there's a depth in the Bible I know nothing about, for it shows its divine authorship. A man once came to me with a very difficult passage and said, "Mr. Moody, how do you explain that?" I replied, "I don't." "But how do you interpret it?" "I don't interpret it." "Well, how do you understand it?" "I don't understand it." "What do you do with it?" "I don't do anything with it." "You don't believe it?" "Yes, I believe it! I believe many things I don't understand. Nature itself is filled with wonders we cannot fathom, so how can we expect to know everything spiritual?"
D. L. Moody

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." Galaians 5:22-26 KJV.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / Tho't and Verse

Life is eternal and love is immortal and death is a gateway, an entrance and portal into a life that no man can envision, for God has a greater perspective and vision.

"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me."       Psalm 23:4

Today resolve to improve the manner in which you live this life in preparation for the next . . . for life goes on because life is forever, thanks to Jesus.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / Tho't and Verse
March 23, 2008, 06:32:02 PM
O God, I saw Thee push the black bolts back today and set ajar the Gates of Dawn, and the Spirit of Morning coming through at once was everywhere. The golden torrent of her hair she shook wide and free and lightly tiptoed up the sky, while all her trailing skirts spread glory. She blew a whisper through the woodland and it broke in song; she glanced along the streams and they mirrored heaven; she ran across the lawns, through gardens enamel-petalled and aroma-drunk. They stood unutterably still and rich, as if their soul had come. Glorious God, I saw Thy Morning, and it seemed like resurrection to a life once dead in trespasses and sins.
Oswald W. S.
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matt.28:18-20 kjv.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / Tho't and Verse

No prayer ever rises in vain. It is as inevitably answered as is the call of gravitation to matter. Prayer and its answer belong to an established, immovable order, and work according to recognized law. If prayer is manifestly and magnificently answered, we marvel; whereas we should marvel if it is not abundantly answered.

This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
 Psalm 118:24

God has a secret method by which he recompenses his saints: he sees to it that they become the prime beneficiaries of their own benefactions!

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / Message for Sunday
February 16, 2008, 08:57:47 AM
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Rev. 3:14-22 kjv.

Here Paul is writing to the church at Laodicea..It's means people ruling and it represents the unbelieving, materialistic church of all ages..this was probably the beginning of apostasy and it has increased through out time..look what He says in verse 15-16, don't you think that's what He is thinking when He looks down upon a lot of churchs today? since we live in the US, we have much responsibility that comes with it. read the Words above and you see that we really fall into the category, rich and have no needs! If we are truly honest, then we know that are not really where we should be.. the richest nation in the world yet churches are closing their doors for lack of funds..missionaries are having to give up there fields because of lack of money..money, fancy cars, big homes, that's where the money goes.. God wants to be with His children, but the children have to have a desire to be with the Father..God is talking to the fellow believer and desiring to fellowship with them. Yet, the door is closed and though the knocking is heard and the Son has all the power to come in, He stands waiting for the door of our heart to be open to Him. Think about if it was the devil standing at the door and he knocked and you did not answer. How would he react to that? Do you believe that he would just stand there like the Son waiting for the door to be opened? I don't think so and in fact, I know that the door would be smashed and the inhabitants would not like the outcome. I think about the time the two were walking on the road to Emaus and unkown to them Jesus appeared and was walking with them and when they came to their house, the bible says He would have went on by but they invited Him in..He will not force anyone to do anything but He's always there when we answer the knock,Amen.. Take time during the week to make sure that you have an open line to the Father and Son and there is nothing between us and the Father to keep us from fellow shipping with him.. He wants to work through you and me to reach out to the world we live in. Have a great weekend and may His Peace be with you each!

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE / Be a Friend
February 10, 2008, 08:17:55 PM
Have you ever heard this song?

This is for all the lonely people
Thinking that life has passed them by
Dont give up until you drink from the silver cup
And ride that highway in the sky

This is for all the single people
Thinking that love has left them dry
Dont give up until you drink from the silver cup
You never know until you try

Well, Im on my way
Yes, Im back to stay
Well, Im on my way back home

This is for all the lonely people
Thinking that life has passed them by
Dont give up until you drink from the silver cup
And never take you down or never give you up
You never know until you try

You know there are a lot of lonely people out there.I used to go to nursing homes on visitation and as i would go in elderly women and men in wheelchairs would reach out to me and many a time they would say, "Oh i'm so glad you came to see me,i'm so lonely" It would break my heart..there are some who could be in a crowded room and still be lonely. all they need is a friend to love them.. my friends we as Christians should never be lonely again and our life can be meaningful and full of joy..remember, Jesus promised to never leave us or forsake us and yes, He is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. He speaks to us through his Word and we talk to him in our prayers..that's what the lonely people need, a relationship with Jesus and need to know the love of Christ..I want to encourage you to walk and talk with Jesus, showing yourself friendly to the lonely around you and telling them about Jesus who wants to be their friend..
