I HAVE BUILT ONE OF THOSE! They work! And it's not easy to fool Corvids. Scale them properly and they work on magpies too.

Now then JB - that looks SUPERB!
More to the point, only today I was cursing the **** jackdaws and magpies hackling outside my office window. If I had me one of dem derr tings, I could store em up for shooting after I have a bad day :D
May have to give the kids the project of building one of those!

We used to have a big steel pipe framed crow trap on the farm I grew up on. It just had a flat top, but was about 3m (L) x 2m(W) x 2m(H). The hole at the top was formed by cutting the netting and pushing the cut ends inwards. Baited with a dead sheep I can remember having anything up to 25-30 crows in there at times.
