BLACKPOWDER/MUZZLELOADERS / 45-70 or 50-70 ?
February 08, 2008, 12:51:01 AM
Hi, it's me again, with a new question.  Finally I have saved enough money to buy an sharp or remington rolling block rifle.:)   I will use my rifle primerly for target/fun  shooting. I would be also intersted to hunt deer with my bp gun  if it ist not prohibited here in austria. Which of the above mentioned calibers would be the best choice for target fun shooting ?   Or would you recomend a different caliber?

Thanks for your answers in advance.:hat:

Hi, its me again, and  finally I have saved enough money to buy an sharps replica for target/fun shooting and hunting deer and elk. But is there a good  allround caliber arround for hunting deer and elk. I   am intersted in puchasing an sharps in 45-70 government or 45-90.  What do you think? Is the 45-70 powerfull enough for elk or shall I start with  an rilfe in 45-90?

Hi, its me again, and I would like to start shooting cape&ball revolvers. I will buy soon my first gun, but which model would be thest for a beginner? From the look I like the colt dragoon and the colt 1851/1861 navy.

ps: I will use my revolver  for target/fun shooting and mayby for small gun hunting (rabbits)  In my opineon the caliber is not important for target fun shooting, but       is ther a difference in terminal peformance between a 375 cal round ball and a 44 cal round ball?

Hi, its me again, and at the moment I am saving money for a new centerfire rifle for hunting deer and elk. I am a newbie in hunting and what caliber would you recomend  for hunting deer and elk, and I would be pleased hearing a few bullet type tipps for deer and elk.

hi, I am new on this board and I am from austria. I  am planing to purchase   a bp catridge rifle soon, for hunting  (deer) and target shooting. I think I will  purchase a sharps replica or a remington rolling block and I would be pleased to read a few ammo suggestions for   hunting and target shooting?
