I don't think your rude at all Varmint Hunter.
But it's going to be a good season.
We went back a week later and a fawn was screaming about 100 yrds away
and there's been plenty of tracks.
I know you have foxes, but do you have coyotes in Australia?

Red dot is the way to go with a semi-auto.
Don't worry about minute while hunting—
worry about making the shot at hand.
Mine are usually well within 150 yards

I've been pondering using a fawn decoy.
The danger is becoming  traveing circus with all the gear

Yeah, it's gonna be pretty harsh for the coyotes soon too. LOL

I went for a walk 6-24 and found a fawn leg  and some goose feathers. Looks like another good predator season in Upper Michigan

Nice shooting Varminthunter!
That wasn't bad shooting at a fast-moving fox.
I bet he also had a few messy kills in his day.
You can second guess shots for hours after a hunt is done but I only do my second guessing after a miss.
Nice shot = nice fox

My brother says his .17 has about the same report as a .22 mag.
He shot two coyotes at the end of season this year and they both had no exit hole, and so runners, so it works pretty nicely.
The one in the photo came in during pretty low light conditions so the Nikon worked pretty good too.

All this talk about .204s is getting monotonous.
My brother got this .17 and it's been working great!

Thanks for getting rid of that Feral cat thing. That might have been Kerry, he said he had photos of himself hunting! LOL!

Also, I'm driving home from work tuesday and I see a huge doglike object crossing the highway. it's galloping across like a coyote except is got huge feet and long legs. luckiluy a member of the Hunters life was on hand.
I was one car back or I could have "drop checked" him.

I was just at Gander Mountain yesterday looking for a gift for my wife when I went over by the gun rack. I asked about the .204 and the fellow there had a .204 Savage package with a scope (not a Tasco though) for $400.

The store is in Marquette, Michigan.

Maybe they can ship it.

It was nice.

P.S. I got my wife some waders. but she'll have to grow into them! And some .223 ammo!

Great herds of them used to roam Michigan, then they brought in the wildlife managers. That was the end for them....
