Funniest thing I ever heard was a 911 call over in NC.  Two guys driving down the road hit a deer.  Thinking the deer was dead they loaded the deer in their car. (back seat)
 
I'm not sure what they had in mind to do with a dead deer:smiley:
 
The deer comes to life in the car.  And it's going crazy. They stop at a service station and make the 911 call.  When the operator answers the call they start off:
 
"SEND the Man with the GUN!"
 
She's trying to find out why they want the Man with the Gun.  And where the men are located.
 
The guys are scared to death and have a lot of difficulty explaining why they want the Man.
 
End of story.  The sheriff gets there and the deer has destroyed the inside of the car.  He walks over to the car and opens all the doors.  The deer after a few minutes escapes.

I could have posted it here a few weeks ago.  Grey sent me some pictures and I could have posted this one.  Can't remember.  I know he had started a thread about White Moose, maybe in the Big Game Forum?

Food prices have gone up.  Talked to a gal works for Wal Mart and she was saying Wal Mart has cut back their delivery trucks.  The Wal Mart Trucks.  They are aiming for the big selling items like food.  Everything else is slow to come into the Wal Mart stores.

Interesting and helpful Sandhills.

I do that to Grey but my drive is only 30-40miles depending.

I was on Hwy 1, Grey.   I had stopped at Lake of the Woods.  Then on to Regina for a night.  Got out and rumbled around in and around Regina.
Ran across a restaurant called "12 mile Restaurant"  B cause it was 12 miles from no where.  Had only one thing on the menu...steak and lobster, tater, salad and drink.
12bucks.
 
I'm telling you these pics bring back a lot of great memories. :D

William Lake.  You know  sounds familiar and looks familiar.  I did drive across Manitoba to the Alaskan Highway.  I'm wondering Grey how close to the main drag is Lake William.

Yes indeedy.  The ride is on!!

Early in the morning and folks going to work get hit or hit deer in the roads all the time.
 
Everyone says if you miss deer #1 be on the lookout for deer#2.  The #2 will get ya every time.
 
I tend to slow down when I know I'm near a deer crossing and they aren't marked here.
Out in the boonies you're taking your life in your hands driving fast.
