A felow from work brought this bullet in. It micrometers out to .50", has a primer, Any ideas?

If the case is 1.75", it is the 50-70 government, if it is 1.78", it is the 50-70 gatling.
The 50-70 gov. rim is .660" and the 50-70 gatling rim is .645"
