Don't forget the black-peas, greens, hog-jowl and cornbread tomorrow ya'll, as

Already have the black-eyed peas ready to go, and a ham-bone is in the freezer to go with 'em (ate the ham at Christmas).  Corn bread to go with 'em is pretty much a given around here! ;)
 
But I don't eat 'em for luck; I like 'em!

I could imagine a time during the age of root cellars & dry grain the importance'
of this calender relative time frame when one would assess their situation and
determine their available moneys or means  of barter for crop seed and needs
for the spring....hope ya'll got it to do...I'm good....Happy New Year...........BH51..

My wife was disappointed this year, as she forgot the Black eyed peas.  We usually do it every year, but she forgot with all the stuff going on.....
