I once knew a fella who hunted the Bob Marshall Wilderness every year, successfully, with this cartridge...on Elk.  He thought it the perfect cartridge and you really couldn't say anything since he always came back with game.  Funny thing though, he hunted alone in some mighty rugged territory.  A little dangerous but there were a number of outfitters and other hunters moving around.

Of all the WBY cartridges, besides .308 and .338 wildcat stuff on the .378 WbyMag case, this round and the .270 were the only two of WBY's cartridges that mildly interested me.  Good performers in their respective classes.  Either way, a personal dislike for the double radius shoulder always halted the purchase of a rifle chambered in either.  >>  klallen
