First African Hunt

I'm going to the Limpopo River area in November. Finances will limit what I hunt, and I'm taking my 30'06 loaded with 180 grain Swift Scirocco BT's. Anyone who can give me any pointers would be welcomed, especially regarding politics, snakes, safety, etc. Thanks.
